About Stephen

Stephen C. Meade, Minster, Author, Child of God

Stephen C. Meade

Stephen C. Meade is an author, Bible teacher, speaker, and ordained minister of the Gospel of Christ. He has followed Jesus Christ and devoted himself to studying the Bible since May 1991. Throughout his ministry, Stephen has remained committed to helping others engage Scripture thoughtfully, honestly, and with the expectation that God responds when people seek Him through His Word. Stephen holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and a Diploma of Biblical Studies from Summit Theological Seminary in Peru, Indiana. His ministry experience includes serving as a short-term missionary in Central America, a Bible school teacher, a Sunday school superintendent, and a substitute preacher. These experiences have allowed him to teach and serve people from different cultures, backgrounds, and stages of faith. Stephen also trained in the Go-Ju Ryu system of martial arts, where he achieved the rank of “true student.”

That distinction reinforced a lesson that continues to shape his approach to faith, writing, and ministry: a sincere student should remain humble, teachable, and willing to learn. His martial arts background also helped him develop a deeper appreciation for the differences between Eastern and Western perspectives. In his books, study guides, and speaking, Stephen shares biblical insights alongside the lessons he has learned through his own struggles, mistakes, and seasons of personal growth. He writes with honesty about the harm caused by viewing life through the Ayin Ra’ah, or “unhealthy eye,” and the transformation he has experienced by embracing the Ayin Tovah, or “healthy eye,” in submission to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

This contrast is reflected in the words of Jesus: “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!” Matthew 6:22–23, ESV

Through his writing and ministry, Stephen invites others to examine how they see God, themselves, and the world around them. His purpose is not to present himself as an expert, but to walk alongside others as a fellow student, encouraging them to move from darkness, despair, pain, and isolation toward the light, hope, healing, and belonging found in Jesus Christ.
